Reiki More and more people are turning to complementary therapies to help them deal with the stresses of every day living, and are taking responsibility for their own health and well being. REIKI is a gentle yet powerful energy and the treatment balance is all the main energy systems of the body. Clearing any ‘negative’ blockages and it brings the whole ‘self’ into a state of harmony and balance. There are no harmful side effects, thus a truly holistic method of healing the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of yourself. REIKI is not a religion or belief system or about faith or following. REIKI is performed fully clothed or can be incorporated into any other complementary therapy. It consists of a sequence of light touches that channels energy into the deeper levels of a persons being where many illnesses have their origin.
Meditation
Everything in the Universe is continuously growing and dieing - this produces transformation and growth. Our problems arise when we become resistant to this natural cyclic movement of life. Through the process of meditation it is possible to build a solid internal foundation upon which we might feel safe enough to become part of the never-ending cycle of change in the Universe. Having a solid core of strength will give us the flexibility we need to remain constant, not resistant, in a very changeable world. Ultimately I hope that you will trust your own direction and that this group will enhance your confidence to surrender to that inner intuitive voice that recognises the harmony that exists within all of us.
Beginning
Meditation is all about discovering a vast reservoir of happiness that is already inside. No matter how happy we think we are, there is so much more waiting inside of us. When we explore our inner worlds we find contentment and peace. Everybody can benefit from this process. We live in a world where there are so many demands on our time from our careers and our home lives, to our children, multimedia and the pressures of new technology. It seems that we don’t have enough time to mediate when actually the reverse is true.
We don’t have time NOT to meditate. In order to deal with all the pressures of our modern society we need to utilise theses inner resources for maximum benefit. People often think that meditation is a religious process or a New Age fad. Neither of theses things is true. Meditation allows us to perceive the power within and lets our inner courage permeate the character of our daily routines. Meditation will bring clarity of thought and it will enhance creativity. It is energy giving and, of course, deeply relaxing. The benefits of meditation are too huge for me to justify with the written word. Make it a part of your daily routine for say the next 10 days to experience for yourself the tremendous benefit to your life.
What Is Meditation?
People often don’t begin meditation because they don’t know what it is and they don’t know how to do it. If you have been to any of my other workshops or private sessions you will have, no doubt, been led through some sort of guided meditation but there is no mystery surrounding it and it is much simpler to achieve than many people imagine. The experience of meditation is very similar to the state that you experience just before drifting off to sleep. It is a deeply lethargic feeling where we experience our mind and body as being weightless. We often experience a distortion of time through meditation – time passes very quickly!! In meditation we gather the energy of the senses to a centre within. The process happens spontaneously. This daily practise fills our lives with inner tranquillity. It is a vision of the highest truth.
